The Kentucky Campaign Collective

There's no shortage of people who care about progressive politics in Kentucky.

There is a shortage of people who know how to run a campaign.

The Kentucky Campaign Collective exists to help change that.

Who We Are

The Kentucky Campaign Collective is a peer learning and mentorship community for progressive and Democratic campaign workers in Kentucky who are serious about the work — and want to get better at it.

This isn't a Facebook group. It's not a job board. It's a structured community built around one honest problem: Kentucky doesn't produce enough trained campaign staff, and there's no real pathway to get people from "I helped on a city council race" to "I can run a competitive statehouse operation."

The Collective exists to help build that pathway.

What We're Here to Do

Most people who want to do this work in Kentucky don't have access to the reps, relationships, or mentorship that would help them level up. Paid campaign roles are limited. Opportunities to work on larger operations are hard to come by. And there's no centralized place for progressive campaign workers in this state to learn from each other and from people who've done it.

The Kentucky Campaign Collective changes that. We bring together people who've done some of the work — at whatever level — and give them a place to ask hard questions, learn from peers, and get honest guidance. Members grow here. They get sharper. They build relationships that last beyond any single cycle. And when bigger opportunities come, they're ready.

Who This Is For

The Kentucky Campaign Collective is built for people who:

  • Have done some campaign work in Kentucky — volunteering, staffing a local or county race, coordinating a voter contact program — and want to take on more responsibility

  • Are serious about progressive politics in Kentucky and see this work as part of their long-term commitment, even if it's not yet their full-time job

  • Want to understand how campaigns actually function at a higher level — not just their lane, but the whole operation

  • Are hungry to learn, willing to ask questions, and ready to contribute to a community of people doing the same work

You don't need a long resume. You don't need a title. You need genuine commitment to the work and a desire to grow.

Who This is NOT For

  • Candidates (this community is for staff/super volunteers, not the people on the ballot)

  • People looking for a passive resource library or email newsletter

  • Those outside Kentucky's Democratic and progressive ecosystem

  • Anyone who wants to come in as an expert — this is a learning community, and the expectation is curiosity, not credentials

What (Free!) Membership Gives You

  • A peer network of campaign workers across Kentucky who understand the specific challenges of this state

  • Mentorship and honest perspective from experienced operatives with deep experience in electoral strategy, field organizing, and campaign training

  • A space to ask anything — no question is too basic, no problem too specific

  • Exposure to how campaigns actually work at scales beyond what most members have experienced directly

  • A professional home between cycles — a place to stay connected, keep learning, and build toward your next opportunity
